We are so glad you found us!

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.

Rebecca Richards Guzman

Rebecca is the coordinator for our facilities and program director for our children and youth. She grew up in Connecticut and is a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where she studied Spanish and Sociology and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. Her passion for community engagement, missions, children and youth all led to her call to Andrews United Methodist Church.

Kerry Archer

Kerry is our organist and was born & raised on a farm in north-central Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. He raised his family (Kim, Kris & Kate) and taught school for 36 years in Naples, FL. Having visited the Murphy area since 1993, I finally decided to build a house and make it my full-time residence in 2015. Coming to Andrews United Methodist Church has been a blessing for me!

Lamar Roberts

Lamar is our custodian. He grew up in Robbinsville. He works full time for Moog and AUMC part time. He is married to Vickie and they have three children. He likes racing and sports.

Judy Hutchinson is the choir director at AUMC. She is also active in the Christmas Cantata that is performed by a community choir. Judy leads our Chancel Choir, which practices on Wednesday nights at 7 PM in the church sanctuary.  She is also participating in our Children’s Program.

Harry Hawk

Reverend Harry Hawk is a retired United Methodist Pastor. He helps out at AUMC when Pastor Mary is out of town or unavailable. He also serves a couple of churches in the parish on a rotating balance.

Louise Gilbert

Louise Gilbert has been a member at AUMC for almost 50 years. She has volunteered her time as the piano player for all of that time. She accompanies the Chancel Choir each Sunday and provides the wonderful music for our Sunday morning worship.

Margie Carpenter

Margie Carpenter is the secretary at Andrews UMC. She keeps us connected to each other and to the community. As a lifelong member of the church, she has a deep love for the congregation and the town of Andrews. If you call or visit our church office, she’ll help you get to know our church!
