Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a church member to use the facilities?
No! Part of our “welcoming” mission is to serve the Andrews community by making our facilities available for everyone to use. Private, for-profit, and non-profit events are encouraged.
What is the cost for using the facilities?
Nonprofit groups are welcome to use the facilities free of charge.
Fee schedule for for-profit or private events:
Family Life Center, without kitchen: $75/half day or $150/full day
Family Life Center, with kitchen: $125/half day or $200/full day
Prayer Chapel: $50/day
Fellowship Hall: $50/day
Individuals may use the walking track or basketball court without charge, but they must sign paperwork for permission. A $10 one-time fee is required for a key to the exercise room.
When can I schedule an event?
The facilities schedule is typically set on a first-come, first-served basis. You can check our facilities calendar [link] to get an idea of what is available. It is also recommended to call our church office (321-5216), since we have enough space to host multiple events at once. Some of our ongoing groups are gracious enough to be flexible when their regular time is needed.
Can I come play basketball?
Yes! But it’s highly recommended to schedule your play ahead of time. Calendared events always take precedence. If the FLC is set up for an event, tables and chair may not be moved to play basketball.
Several groups have pick-up games throughout the week. Check our church facilities calendar [link] or call the church office to find a group to connect with.
Individuals are welcome use the court to play basektball when the FLC is unscheduled. However, at least one person in the group must have completed paperwork to get permission from the church office. No one under the age of 17 may play without adult supervision.
Can I come use the walking track or the exercise room?
Yes! The walking track is open along with our church office: 8am – 12pm, Monday – Friday. If you would like to use it outside those times, contact the church office to complete paperwork for a key code. Since it is located on the second floor of our FLC, there are few direct contacts with using the walking track – but please be respectful of any events that are taking place in the main area below.
The exercise room is located on the 2nd floor of the FLC and includes treadmills, exercise bikes, mats, and free weights. Contact the church office to obtain a key with a $10 deposit and paperwork.
How many laps around the walking track make a mile?
21 and a half!
